Okiko Sushi & Grill Restaurant in Goslar

Very, very tasty! But not cheap either!

For a long time I've wanted to write a review about the Okiko Trier. I went back recently and have more than confirmed my feeling about the restaurant lately. So, first of all the positive: the quality of the food is good average. You get so much sushi and other dishes as much as you can eat. There's always room for improvement, but the food isn't bad either. It felt like the quality was much better at the beginning. However, there is some room for improvement in terms of service: The reservation requests made on the Okiko website are not answered (one reads more often in the reviews) - turn this service off and only allow reservations by phone. The friendliness of the staff can also be improved. A greeting and maybe a smile have never hurt anyone. And especially in today's situation: hygiene! Wipe tables sensibly. This is the figurehead for every restaurant. Dried wasabi doesn't work at all. No contact list was kept and the mouthguard is only used by, especially older service employees, to protect their chin! A year or two ago I would easily have given it 5 stars. But here it was slacked off considerably. With good will 3 stars, because the food is actually still quite good. Service is only to be expected at an absolute minimum here. There are far better sushi restaurants in Trier.

Nice location - but that's about it. We were there at lunchtime: price-performance ratio ok at lunchtime (13.90 EUR), if I had to pay the regular price in the evening it would have been a disaster. Staff the most unfriendly and disinterested I have been able to experience in a long time ... We felt downright undesirable and uncomfortable at the service by these unfriendly and listless men. We will definitely not come back again, but rather our sushi in Paulinstraße or something similar. to eat out!

Yummy Sushi Restaurant. We went there for lunch during our short holiday in Trier last weekend. All you can eat restaurant, but during the Corona, they didn’t open their buffet, instead We order our food via tablet, and they will bring our meal directly to our table. The Sushi, miso, tempura, Salmon and Tuna tataki are very yummy with a reasonable price.

One of the worst sushi experiences. Everything so-so: staff completely uninterested and effortless. Food was really not that great, really hardly tasty.

Best Japanese restaurant in Trier...with decent sushi and great sashimi. The quality of the seafood (tuna and salmon) is epic for Germany, and on par with many places across Asia. Prices for à la carte menu was about 25 euro per person, but well worth it.

We had a lot of fun ordering the delicious dishes with the tablet. Brought to the table very quickly. Food was good. We would love to come back!

The food is delicious. Whether sushi or noodles, there is something for everyone. Ordering via tablet is quick and eating all rounds is very difficult Gladly again

So we were there for the first time, as our regular restaurant in the small gallery has closed at Netto. I will go back again and again. Food was delicious. Very high addiction factor. It's true, the service staff doesn't make a lot of wind and therefore not so much, we don't care. The food was great and nice atmosphere, modern furnishings. We felt comfortable.

We were there yesterday and were mediocre. The food was good, but some of the food ordered was either not delivered at all or was extremely delayed. We also had to wait a long time for the drinks. In fairness I have to say that the restaurant was quite full.

Sushi is okay, but of course it doesn't match the sushi quality and selection that is offered in Japan. Otherwise, a decent sushi restaurant with an all-you-can-eat mentality, which invites you to stop by with its warm and modern ambience. ?

7 months ago I gave it 5 stars. Today we wanted to eat here again and had reserved a table. Our hint that we had made a reservation was completely ignored. Only the number 3 was determined and with a gesture of the hand we were assigned a table that had just become vacant and not yet cleared. This was immediately freed of the remains of the previous guests, but then this man reached for a cloth lying on the shelf and wiped the table with it. Then he put the plates on the table for us. No disinfection at all! Tables way too close together, fully occupied, although there were plenty of free tables in the side area. We left immediately. That doesn't work at all at the moment !!!

Ok sushi and other Asian choices at a set price and lots to eat. The ordering process and delivery needs improvement. The tablets are not very responsive, orders come delivered randomly. Payment by credit card no problem

Food very tasty and plentiful. Service could be a bit more communicative. All in all, very good and worthwhile

You get what you pay for...actually get less. The restaurant itself and the ambiance is nothing special with the service being ok. The choices for the buffet launch is limited, but more importantly the quality of food is just poor. Fish so overcooked that it was dry, certainly would not call their tempura as such, the batter was very thick; edamame was over cooked; udon noodles tasteless and again, dry. Courgettes were all right. Overall, will not return and suggest you consider.

Have been there twice now. On the first visit we were so far satisfied. Most recently, at the beginning of the year, I reserved a table for Saturday evening. The reservation was also confirmed to me. When we got there in the evening, the entire restaurant was fully occupied and there were definitely 30 people in line, all of whom had apparently reserved a table. A complete bad planning and not a word of apology. Very annoying!

Good concept ... tasted good ... great selection. Unfortunately only three stars due to the poor service. Waiter seemed annoyed and wanted to take a break quickly.

Pretty alright, typical sushi restaurant. Portions are slightly on the large side, which I don't prefer since it's all you can eat, so I'd rather have small portions so I can try more different things before I'm full.

The experience about this restaurant was not good. We are from south of Germany visited Trier and looked for something to eat. We didn’t know this restaurant is buffet. We walked in and asked for table for 10 people but then an old Asian man took us to table and didn’t say nothing just brought IPAD in our hands. We didn’t know how to do or have no idea about this order ?? Hey you should please at lease explain a bit ? Buffet or just normal order or how ? We asked also what should we do and so on but seem like he couldn’t speak any German or English? We wanted to walk out but didn’t do that for some reason so ate there for lunch and came another younger waiter look like French guy. He was sooo nice and explained everything what we wanted to asked an old man. He serviced so good after that and helped us a lot. About food not that great normal Quality and not many choices to eat. Sushi came with really big rice ( they want maybe for 1 sushi and getting full?)

The worst sushi place I’ve EVER been to. The quality of the dishes is very low. The sushi is mostly rice.. which means you’ll be full in two rounds. The shrimp is even worse, most of it is fried batter. Would not recommend this place!

We have never seen such unfriendly service in our lives as we do today. Food was ok. However, the price-performance ratio does not fit in any way.

Friends and family have eaten here many times. Always a great experience, love it. Not bad on price.

Tasty food and very good service! Atmosphere is great and facilities are clean.

This place is AYCE and we ate here for dinner. I believe it was 26€ per person. The sushis were ok. I wish they had more option for baked sushis, as well. Some of the grilled food we ordered were kinda bland and they forgot some of our items the first round.

Great place to eat sushi

Super tasty, super quick and absolutely polite. Very welcoming atmosphere. Ordered takeaway food on site and am very satisfied. Particular attention was paid to special features, e.g. without peppers. The best sushi in a long time.

Good food but the older male waiters are rude! Plus, even with reservations and nobody else waiting, we waited at the front with not one waiter acknowledging us and just walking past until the older man told us to sit at a table that was still dirty. He even had an attitufe when we said we will wait until he cleans it, during COVID-19. They have terrible customer service.

All the food was delicious! Kind, gracious service. You are allowed 10 ordering rounds via a Samsung tablet and 3 hours. It was hard to even come close, I was so full !!

Nice place to visit with friends and family. I highly recommend the evening set menu where you will be able to try many many typical Japanese sushi like dishes as well as not so well known cooked ones. Dishes were delicious but came a bit too fast to my liking eventhough we were extremely hungry and didn get close to the number total number of orders that was included in the menu. Be careful when leaving this place as you might have to be rolled out. Enjoy!

I’ve gone here about 10 times now. Only waited once for a seat on a busy Friday. The service is fast and efficient. Facilities are clean and atmosphere is classy. The food itself is above average and delivered to your table quickly. The sushi itself is a bit heavy on the rice, to keep running costs down. Second best sushi in Trier.

Before and after is still awful. After reading the reviews I sent my daughter to see how this would change things (: my eldest sons Birthday with his father was to see who could eat more. After reading descriptions of the place, my daughter would be the tie braker they say there was one lady who was nice. (: (I figured from revues). My daughter is 2 so people usually are nicer with a baby in spite, not in this case.

This place used to be good, but the last 2 visits the food was poor in quality, the service very slow and erratic. After the visit today, we all vowed never to return after the senior waiter was outright rude and aggressive. We've heard from 2 other former regulars who had similar experiences.

I love this place! You order right on the iPad and the servers bring the food out hot and Delicious. Great variety of authentic Asian cuisine!
